In-stock items ship within 5–7 business days. If out of stock, production lead time is 3–4 weeks.

Quality variability

Each piece is hand-carved. Surface texture and exact form vary slightly. Weight ranges 2–3kg for the mortar. Colour is consistent dark grey-black basalt throughout.

Storage / shelf life

Indefinite. Rinse with water and dry after use. Do not use soap — basalt is porous. Season with a small amount of neutral oil before first use.

Double-boxed in foam-lined outer carton. Approx. shipping weight 4–5kg. Freight cost quoted by destination at time of enquiry.

Import restrictions

None. Stone goods are unrestricted in all standard export markets.

Notes

The grinding surface is intentionally left rough — not polished. This is the functional quality. It abrades itself smooth with use over several months.
