Turned Boxwood Honey Dipper

lathe-turned, hand-finished

Turned from offcuts of Georgian mountain boxwood — one of the densest hardwoods in the region. Smooth, close-grained surface that needs no finish. A practical daily object with unusual material character.

Sourcing area

Turned from offcuts of Georgian mountain boxwood in Kakheti and Tbilisi workshops.

Minimum order

1 piece. Bulk pricing available for orders of 6 or more.

Lead time

Quality variability

Minor variation in surface tone from cream-yellow to pale amber. Dimensions are consistent: approximately 16cm length, 3cm maximum width. Some tool texture remains on the spiral — intentional.

Storage / shelf life

Indefinite. Rub occasionally with food-safe mineral oil. Do not dishwash.

Packaging

Wrapped in tissue, packaged in a small kraft box.

Import restrictions

No restrictions for turned wood items in any standard export market.

Notes

Boxwood is close-grained and will not absorb honey into the wood. Rinse under warm water — no soap needed.
