Khmeli Suneli

100g, stone-ground blend

The foundational Georgian spice blend — fenugreek, coriander, marigold, chilli, and dried herbs in proportions that vary by region and family. This version is ground and blended in Tbilisi from wild-harvested and cultivated ingredients sourced in Georgia.

Sourcing area

Blended and ground in Tbilisi from ingredients sourced within Georgia — wild-harvested herbs from highland zones, cultivated fenugreek and coriander from Kakheti.

Harvest variability

The herb component depends on seasonal harvest quality. Aroma may vary slightly between batches. The base recipe remains constant.

Quality variability

Stone-ground blend — texture is not perfectly uniform. Colour is consistently deep amber-green. Batch date on label.

Storage / shelf life

Sealed, cool and dark. 18 months from blend date. Best used within 12 months for full aromatic impact.

Packaging

Heat-sealed kraft bag with reseal strip. Includes regional usage notes.

Import restrictions

Notes

The marigold (calendula) component is the key differentiator from generic versions. It gives the slightly floral, resinous note that distinguishes Georgian khmeli suneli from commercial substitutes.
