Sourced from ancient volcanic deposits in the South Caucasus. Used by early Georgian peoples for tools and trade for thousands of years. Arrives unworked, with natural conchoidal fracture faces intact.

Ancient volcanic deposits in the South Caucasus — primarily the Arteni and Chikiani source zones, used since the Neolithic period.

Quality variability

Conchoidal fracture faces are naturally sharp and unpredictable. Colour is jet black to dark grey. Some specimens have slight mahogany or rainbow sheen depending on deposit. Photos provided before shipping.

Storage / shelf life

Indefinite. Obsidian requires no maintenance. Natural fracture edges are sharp — handle with care.

Individually wrapped in foam, boxed. Shipped as a collectible specimen.
