Ancient volcanic deposits in the South Caucasus — primarily the Arteni and Chikiani source zones, used since the Neolithic period.

Quality variability

Conchoidal fracture faces are naturally sharp and unpredictable. Colour is jet black to dark grey. Some specimens have slight mahogany or rainbow sheen depending on deposit. Photos provided before shipping.

Storage / shelf life

Indefinite. Obsidian requires no maintenance. Natural fracture edges are sharp — handle with care.

Packaging

Individually wrapped in foam, boxed. Shipped as a collectible specimen.

Import restrictions

No restrictions. Volcanic glass is an unrestricted natural material. Not classified as a cultural artefact — no export licence required.
