Georgia's primary red wine grape — the name means "dye" in Georgian, referring to its deeply pigmented flesh. High tannin, high acid, exceptional colour. Seeds from estate-grown vines in the Alazani Valley.

Harvest variability
Expected germination 60–80% under suitable conditions. Seeds are hand-harvested and cleaned — not laboratory-graded.

Seed size consistent for the variety. All seeds from the same heritage planting — no cross-contamination.
Storage / shelf life
Sealed dry container at 4–10°C. Viability decreases after 12 months. Plant in spring.

Phytosanitary inspection required at destination. Import permits may be required. Buyer is responsible for checking requirements. USDA APHIS permit may be required for US import.
Notes
Saperavi vines are vigorous and cold-hardy but require a warm growing season to develop full colour. Cold-stratify seeds before planting — 4–8 weeks at 4°C after a 24-hour soak.
