Harvested July – August

Wild Mountain Honey

500g jar, raw and unfiltered

Collected by beekeepers working hives above 1,200m in the Borjomi and Bakuriani highlands. Forage is exclusively wild — no cultivated fields within range. Dark amber, strong-flavoured, and noticeably different from lowland honeys.

Sourcing area

Beehives kept above 1,200m in the Borjomi and Bakuriani highland zones — forage is exclusively wild alpine and sub-alpine flora.

Minimum order

1 jar (500g).

Lead time

Harvested July–August. Stock available from September onward. Contact early — production is limited and the same customers pre-order each year.

Harvest variability

Yield depends on summer wildflower density, which varies with winter snowpack and spring rainfall. Drought years produce darker, more intense honey in smaller quantities.

Quality variability

Colour ranges from amber to dark amber-brown depending on the forage mix in a given year. All batches are raw and unfiltered — texture may granulate within 3–6 months of harvest, which is normal.

Storage / shelf life

Indefinite if kept sealed. Granulation does not affect quality — warm gently in a water bath to re-liquefy. Store at room temperature away from direct light.

Packaging

500g glass jar with wax seal. Labelled with harvest year and source altitude.

Import restrictions

Honey is a restricted import in some countries. Australia requires biosecurity treatment. Check your country's specific requirements. Certificate of origin available on request.

Notes

Raw and unfiltered — may contain small particles of pollen, wax, or propolis. This is not a defect.
